Pilot Concept and Approach
The Inno-SME networks Pilot is hosted by the Managing Authority of the Region of Central Macedonia and focuses on the development of an application for promoting Green Building in the Mediterranean, including two separate layers: A virtual marketplace for Green Buildings in the MED region and a Living Lab for Green Buidling network of innovative companies and experts.Through the virtual market place three types of property are being promoted: quality leisure property, smart buildings and green buildings. Members of the Living Lab have the opportunity to learn from each other about technologies, standard, solutions, products and services in the sector of Green Building, and develop further their expertise, know-how and solutions in green construction, renewable energy, and sustainable development.
Organisation of the Pilot Action
From the Living Lab perspective, a participatory methodology has been adopted, involving different groups of actors – SMEs who undertake the co-design process. In the proposed development of the pilot action in the Region of Central Macedonia (RCM), the collaborative and the lead actors virtual marketplace for the MED region are: business associations from the construction industry, real estate brokers, IT industry and the Managing Authority of RCM. The role of the construction industries is to provide ideas on the design of the marketplace, to perform the beta testing and to supply content (text, pictures and other multimedia material) regarding the properties that wish to promote in the marketplace.
