The Coastal Pilot is hosted by the Integrated Coastal Zones Managament Monitoring Centre of Lazio Region and focuses on the development of technologies to share on-demand services for the territorial analysis of coastal zones using online. Its aim is to enable users to carry out complex online territorial analyses using a computational system, better known as grid computing, that is to say the Megalab system and its interconnections with Lazio Region’s server.

 

Organisation of the Pilot Action

 

The pilot action foresees the creation of a reporting web form based on the Living Lab's approach, where end-users and stakeholders can report events on the coasts (climate and/or erosion), thus contributing directly to the defence of the coast and its monitoring. A new application for the online analysis of the coastlines is also available. Moreover a forum on the coast is open to promote the dialogue between users at all levels.
